Check out this piece of literature that Joe Miller who at this time is ahead of Murkowski in the Republican Primary for U.S. Senator from Alaska distributed his campaign literature on his website by pdf. You and Carl should be doing stuff like this right now to get the info out there.
I see Ricki has a new flight of promos on the TV (primarily FOX). They’re pretty good.
With only two week left…are you folks going to do anything in the Republican & Conservative Party primary set for 9/14 or are you becoming a minor party run on the Taxpayer Party. It sure like the latter rather than the former.
I’m getting mail from Milpass and telephone robot calls in addition to his TV.
Don’t worry I’ve already voted for you by absentee ballot, which is what you should do with a lot more people.
Here’s what I consider to a number of issues concerning the Isle de Stat (aka Staten Island) which I think Carl can make some political capital on:
1. Independence from NYC – Yes most certainly yes. Carl will find a way to overcome Shelly Silver and the Dems objections to State Island becoming its own independent county or city, provided that it what the people of Staten Island want.
To enforce Staten Island’s fight for freedom, and to facilitate the identification of Staten Islander’s Vehicles on Toll Roads alll vehicles will be issued new plates free of charge by the State of NY DMV in a uniqure color scheme and not the current barf yellow and blue.
2. Staten Island Rapid Transit will eventually be connected directly into the NYC Subway system through the construction of a railway tunnel under the upper harbor between Stapleton and the Battery. In the meantime, it will be integrated into the MTA Rail Road. Receive new M7 style rolling stock, the line will be extended back to cover the North Shore of the Island by cooperative agreement with the CSX who owns the tracks, and extended over the CSX right of way to connect with NJT and enable direct connection to Penn Station thus enabling SIers to have an alternative to the Ferry and Xpress Busses.
3. Staten Islanders will be allowed to travel without tolls on the Verizano Narrows Bridge to Brooklyn and across the PA bridges to NJ. Specially configures E-Z passes will be issued to facilitate this effort.
4. The Arthur Kill Land Fill will be harnessed through the extraction of its methane deposits to pay for the above mentioned items and to enable SIers to enjoy free or exceptionally reduced rate electricity and gas by the issuance of a dividend check similar in nature and hopefully in dollar amount to that given by the Alaska to each of its resident for the exploitation of North Slope oil and gas. SI may become the Saudia Arabia of the Northeast through the exploitation of garbage in the world’s largest landfill.
5. The remains of all victims of 911 which still now reside in the landfill will be recovered and returned to their loved ones for a proper burial. All other artifacts remaining from that battle will be handled in a manner to preserve their historic and patriotic significance. They will be removed from the outdoors and stored in a manner within Iron Mountain type repositories to preserve them through the ages.
I think that about covers it.
Good Luck.
